Key Takeaways
- Measure your window panes twice and add an extra inch to each dimension before ordering any roll to allow for trimming mistakes.
- Decide between static cling and adhesive backings based on whether you rent your home or own it permanently.
- Check the opacity ratings carefully if you want total blackout versus soft, diffused daylight filtering into the room.
- Look for UV rejection percentages in the specifications to protect your hardwood floors and furniture from fading over time.
- Read through the installation tool inclusions because having a squeegee and utility knife included saves an extra trip to the hardware store.

Because of the linear pattern, getting the stripes perfectly level across multiple window panes requires extra attention during placement. But the clean visual upgrade is well worth the measuring effort.
