Key Takeaways
- Prioritize runtime length because comedies lose their comedic momentum quickly when stretching past the two-hour mark.
- Check the director history since filmmakers known for independent comedy often deliver sharper writing than standard studio releases.
- Look for an ensemble cast to guarantee that supporting actors can carry the punchlines when the main plot slows down.
- Verify the release year because contemporary humor relies heavily on cultural pacing and modern dialogue.
- Read audience rating distribution to see if the humor appeals to broad tastes or relies on niche comedic sensibilities.
