Key Takeaways
- Prioritize suction power measured in kilopascals or raw watts when hunting for machines capable of lifting embedded fur from deep carpet fibers.
- Look for anti-tangle brushrolls if you own long-haired pets to save yourself from cutting hair out of the roller every single week.
- Consider a cordless design for maximum maneuverability around furniture legs, stairs, and tight corners without tripping over a wire.
- Check the dust cup capacity carefully because smaller bins require frequent emptying during whole-house cleaning sessions with heavy shedders.
- Weigh the unit weight heavily if you plan on carrying the machine upstairs or lifting it high to tackle upholstery and ceiling cobwebs.
